Terms of Service

1. Service Description

RenderBox provides on-demand cloud machines, each with a dedicated NVIDIA GPU. A machine is a Linux container started from the PyTorch image (the CUDA runtime is included; the GPU driver comes from the host), reachable over SSH or through Render Studio, our browser-based Jupyter environment, from any device. Machines run on GPU hosts from our third-party infrastructure providers. Running time is charged at the tier's hourly rate for the exact time, from the moment you deploy or start a machine (including the few minutes it takes to boot) until you stop it; stopped machines are not charged.

Each account is one person's sign-in. You may open and use it for yourself or for a studio, company or other organisation. When you use it for an organisation, that organisation is the customer under these terms and is responsible for the account and everything bought through it, and you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf. Rights that the law gives only to consumers, such as the statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase, apply to an individual buying for personal use and not to an organisation buying for its business. Everything our policies promise, including the refund of unused credits, applies to every customer alike.

2. Account Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• We do not accept new sign-ups from Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba. We refuse a new registration from an IP address in these countries or with an email address or phone number from them, and we refuse payments whose billing country is one of them. Existing customers keep access to their account and balance.

3. Billing and Credits

• RenderBox uses a prepaid credit system; your balance is held in US dollars: 1 credit = $1. A top-up is any amount from €1 to €20,000, or its equivalent in the currency you pick at the day's rate (the maximum rounded down to a round figure, never above €20,000). While a machine runs, credits are taken from your balance every 5 minutes for the time it ran, and once more when you stop it.
• You pay in the currency you choose (USD, EUR, PLN or AZN); the ways to pay and the exchange rates are set out in our Payment Policy. All payments are processed by our payment processor; by adding credits, you also agree to its terms of service.
• Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase, as set out in our Refund Policy. Credits that have been used are not refunded.
• If your balance reaches zero while a machine is running, the machine is stopped automatically to prevent a negative balance.
• Machine state (disk, installed software) is preserved for 24 hours after stopping. After that, stopped machines and their data are permanently deleted, normally within the following hour.
• If a machine you deploy does not start within 10 minutes, we cancel the deploy and you are not charged for it. You can deploy again straight away.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RenderBox for:

• Any illegal activity, including distributing malware, unauthorized access to other systems, or violation of applicable laws.
• Cryptocurrency mining or any form of blockchain proof-of-work computation.
• Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or network abuse.
• Storing or distributing content that exploits minors.
• Reselling or sublicensing access to RenderBox machines without authorization.
• Any activity that degrades the service for other users or damages infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice. Unused credits bought within the previous 14 days are still refunded on request (see section 7).

5. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or any particular uptime. RenderBox depends on third-party cloud infrastructure and factors outside our control. If a running machine stops working because of a fault on our platform or on the GPU host it runs on, we credit the time you lost: contact support@renderbox.space with the machine ID and we will apply it to your balance.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RenderBox and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount of credits you have purchased in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

• You may close your account at any time by emailing support@renderbox.space.
• We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.
• Upon termination, any running machines will be stopped and data will be deleted. Unused credits bought within the previous 14 days are refunded on request, as set out in the Refund Policy.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the service. Continued use of RenderBox after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland. The courts of Poland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms.
